Gabrielle is the fine dining restaurant located in The Hotel Bennett on King Street in downtown Charleston. This was a last minute reservation for a party of 6 and the Maître D’ was exceptionally gracious in welcoming our group. The cocktails were innovative and refreshing. My husband and I ordered the Caesar Salad which is a favorite. The server offered to split it for us, which we appreciated. This was the perfect start to our dining experience. I ordered the Maine Scallops and my husband ordered the Swordfish along with a shared side of the puréed potatoes. Both entrees were prepared to perfection, although my bernaise arrived late and was a bit too thick for my taste. We also shared a bottle of the 2020 Duckhorn Merlot. Dessert was called Citrus and the fragrance was heavenly as it was served. Quite lovely and inventive.

The other day my wife and I had lunch at Gabrielle Charleston in the Hotel Bennett. Everything was prepared and presented to perfection! The service was impeccable. What more can one say? The next time you are in downtown Charleston, you simply must put this place on your dining list.

This place was awesome! Such good food, such great ambiance. Loved it!!! The Mac and cheese was very yummy as was the shrimp and grits. The Cesar salad to start was very good too - chilled lettuce and great dressing. Yum!
